Pet play isn't that unusual, or so it would seem on Tumblr.

 

This reminds me

 

washed up via hurricane.

 

My parents took me to Charleston 3 or 4 weeks after Hugo hit and the beach looked like this. I was only 4 and it took me a few years of disappointment to figure out this wasnt the norm. I still have a couple of huge conch shells from that trip

 

wondering if they save the good ones and discard the rest back into the ocean or grind them up in a mill.

 

Wow that’s a lot of pretty seashells in good quality. Normally the shells I find on the beach are all eroded by nature. Those look like something you find in a gift shop. And those shells you find in gift shops are often grown from domesticated sea life.

 

I hope they put them back in the ocean, some of those look like they could make some lucky shellfish a happy home
