This struck a cord with me. I remember my time in a small town in Louisiana over a decade ago, where a young cop stopped me numerous times for some bogus violation, and everytime I disagreed with him he put his hand on his night stick, and the the very last time he stopped me, him and his partner both had thier guns drawn on me in a fucking parking lot as I was about to get out of my car.....because I was supposedly "speeding". I came close to having my own head stone over that shit.

 

Sad. Makes a good compare and contrast topic.
