That Three-Section-Staff Is what San Te (Gordon Liu) used to defeat Tien Ta in the movie The 36th Chamber of Shaolin aka The Master Killer – Bad-ass

I’m at an extremely novice level of performance with that weapon:(

    No problem

Just having that weapon pays homage to all those 1970s Martial Arts movies, that were either english dubbed (sometimes out of sequence) or strained your eyes trying to read
those barely legible english subtitles at the bottom of the TV screen......lol...

To this day I have never seen anyone master that weapon the way Gordon Lui did. He was phenomenal! He brought it back in another movie called Heroes from The East and kicked some serious ass with it. Even for choreography to properly come together, the moves he uses are so complex and unmatched. He would be difficult to learn from.

Not sure if "good" is applicable here

But it is solid trashy entertainment. 10/10 recommend

I use to have those Nunchucks - they was modeled after the Bruce Lee's both chain and cord. I liked cord Nunchucks more. much faster in my opinion. Both fun. Nice room you got there.

I personally like the nylon cord nunchucks better, because I don’t like the rachetty noise the chained ones make. I’ve had a few nylon cord nunchucks that have become frayed a break. Too dangerous.

Id those octagon oak ones, they was heavy. balance was off, but anyone getting hit with that edge wood was going to have a broken arm. I say the same with the chain. now there was a few well made ones chain the ball barrings we're real good. I had them in black. I gave them to my uncle for a kickass boom box the time.. well made but to heavy for me.
The yellow chain ones I had they seemed to be cheaply made, the heads just wobbled and the barrings shot in no time. I liked to make my own cord ones back then. This were you get a good balance cause you set the cord length yourself. Never had those super long cords like the one in the Bruce Lee picture. I think id bop myself to much with that. ouch.. I lost a lots my kung fu stuff in the flood. no biggie. staff and a few chucks, I got some stars laying around here somewhere.
