Got to see this in person this year. Canada's largest mural. An abandoned hospital in Sudbury, Ontario. The building is painted like this all the way around.

My first residence in San Francisco. A(n) hotel in the Tenderloin.

 

Of any picture I took in Philadelphia this week, THIS was my favorite. Taken from a west window near sunset on the 33rd floor of the Loews Hotel. 1200 Market Street. That's the building with the big "PSFS" sign up top.

 

Very nice. I remember when Billy Penn was the tallest in the city.

 

Who is represented by the statue on the clock tower??

 

William Penn. I think he was the founder of Pennsylvania in British colonial times. Also, there is an alleged reason why he faces northeast. I don't have the answer to that one.

 

Yeah? Well go to Hell...Gate Bridge! Heading from Queens into Manhattan (parallel to the Triborough Bridge), where this was taken on July 17, 2025.

The assembly building in Dhaka has jackolantern eyes!


And it looks a bit like the Bonaventure (are you a Bonvoy member or aren't you?) in Los Angeles.

 

The arrow on the Sander Kleinenberg album cover looks like the pool art at the Sheraton in Bishkek.


But the building's facade also resembles the art of MC Escher.
