I'm sure some of us have seen some great shows/bands and even a few we wish we hadn't seen. Let's say we don't include local bands that nobody else has heard of. Could be a cool thread. :)

I'll post my list once I've had time to compile it.

Edit to say...maybe it would be fun to include which concert was your best or worst one.

The first Moody concert was cool. It was in the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh and they were several hours late cause their instruments got hung up in customs crossing from Canada. So they played for about four hours after they showed up. They had the arena's roof open so that was cool.

I partied with the James Gang after their concert, this was Feb. 25 1971. They were staying in this flea bag hotel room above the Golden Eagle Bar, so my roommate pounded on their door until they finally let us in. Just the three of them and the two of us. They finally threw us out some time in the early morning.

Couldn't stand up for Deep Purple, so never really saw them.

Leon Russell got into an argument with the arena cops about something the first time I saw him...I forget what.

Same with Roy Bucannon. They pulled his amp plug, all he had was one amp, no back up group, and turned up the lights when he started bitching about them trying to throw some longhair out for smoking weed.. When a riot almost started they let him finish.

Everyone in Argent was drunk and they threw beer all over us.

Eric Burton was one of the best concerts ever, both of them...powerful really powerful.

Crosby refused to sing one time because he got pissed off at the crowd.

Melanie and Al Hendrix were at the illegal 25 year Woodstock reunion.

I don't really remember seeing some of the groups on the list but the local consensus is that someone who looked a lot like me was at least present in body, if not mind, and there's rumors of others but I can't really establish who in the F they were..some were at the Erie Canal Soda Pop Festival (Bull Island) in Indiana in '72. It's been called the Woodstock of the midwest....200 to 300,000 people showed up and it descended into anarchy so I really don't remember much of the music from that one.

Grateful Dead 113 times.. I demand a refund...

I couldnt really recall everything... I know a few people that worked arenas and seen more than anyone.

I also worked for a security firm and seen many shows but not actually seeing them. Id count them but not count them.. Like Genesis and Billy Joel those were on the outside the venue pretty much...

I haven't forgot about posting my own list. I could post a bunch from memory but I have a ticket stub collection that must be in the basement since I moved. I haven't found it yet. I'm sure we wouldn't have thrown it away.

    Nice lists though, everyone!

I watched Mark Farina recently, for the first time, and it was a sick show. It was so refreshing to actually watch someone spin the real way, without a laptop.

I stopped going to concerts in the late 70's.... Anything prior to that is a drug induced blur.
