If you believe that, then you shouldn't even be calling for a barefooting sub-group in this forum. You should kick barefooters right off the forum completely. :)

If it doesn't count as baring anything then having your feet covered would be baring even less. So there'd be no WAY you could be naked with shoes on.

Oh and by the way. If this is SO important to the nudists. Why are there only two nudists posing in this thread? Just one moaner and his yes man.

It just doesnt count in the same way that being topfree or naked would. People bare their feet all of the time and most people dont seem to see it as baring anything because they dont make a big deal out of it. Thats all im saying. I guess you could call it baring but it just doesnt have the same effect as being nude does.

Maybe everybody else just hasnt got around to posting here or just doesnt know what to say. Theyre probably just hanging back and letting us nudists who have some idea of what were talking about do the talking and they just go along with whatever happens. If youre wondering why they dont post so much then just ask them.

The most general definition of naturism would be living in harmony with Nature. Most consider nudism outdoors as a part of naturism. I tend to think that naturism doesn't necessarily require nudism but can be any activity where one's body is intimate with Nature and where the body and Nature are being respected.

There are other nudism activities that don't fall under naturism. For example, being nude in a smoke-filled bar wouldn't be considered naturism by most, since it doesn't involve being with Nature, and the body and Nature aren't really being respected in that type of unhealthy atmosphere.

You are still in the "natural" state of the human body, wherever you are if you are nude.

Just because he believes barefooting is not baring anything that is unusual to be bared, doesn't mean he doesn't advocate you people having your own forum if that's what YOU guys get off doing. It just isn't the same as what nudists do. Why can't you admit that they are not the same and belong in separate forums? Do you really believe they are the same thing? If you do, then I shouldn't even waiste my time debating with you.

What? You mean something on the bottom of the foot, like flip-flops is covering anything? Also, it's WAY MORE being nude than just walking around without shoes on (I mean, big deal! You have no shoes on). It's also way more practical.

Barefooting reminds me of like the "Polar Bear" clubs where they jump into ice/snow covered water in winter. It's not practical, and not nudism either, just like barefooting.

Who ever said that there were hundreds of nudists here? They probably never stayed around here long enough to post because of the barefooting threads cluttering up the forum. That's part of what this is about, to get more people involved who are really into one or the other topic.

It isn't a demotion. I already said two sub-forums would be fine with me. I just don't want barefooting threads constantly in the way of real nudity.

As I also said before. There are not near as many posts like that, as there are nuisance posts from barefooters.

Weak? It's right-on and as strong as argument as there is. If the topic (nudism) jives with the forum title, then it should be the topic of discussion. What are you talking about?

This forum is not the total of "Alternative Lifestyles", it is a forum in that group. No one said that nudism is the ONLY alternative lifestyle there is, but it sure isn't the SAME as barefooting. That much I know.

If it were that important there'd be more nudism threads too, and it would be the barefooters who'd have to look that much harder to find threads. Clearly you're outnumbered, just because you are.

And as for practicality, well I can't see how it's less practical than having all your private parts exposed. First of all, in most places you just can't be naked as it's not polite. Secondly your genitals are certainly more vulnerable than your feet. And really, if it's not practical, how come there are so many people who go barefoot all the time without any problems? Gosh, it's almost as if you think we don't enjoy doing it! Blimey, you must be really worried about our poor little feet and think we must hate ourselves to make ourselves suffer by not wearing shoes. I find it really bizarre that you're a nudist and see plenty of benefits of allowing your skin to breathe and yet you think it's for the benefit of your feet to keep them locked up in shoes. Flipflops are just like any other shoes, in the the soles are covered and the heat trapped underneath them, and the sweat will build up, and so will the smell as they won't be allowed to evaporate. Nudists who don't go barefoot are really missing the point. If you think that nudists and naturists are the same, well then you must also believe that nudists want to get in touch with nature - and yet you deny yourself all contact with the ground.

I tell you what, if you think that there should be a better nudism to barefooting ratio, why don't you just start lots of nudist threads. And if you can swamp this forum with nudist threads, AND get lots of replies from other nudist posters, then I will concede that Nudism is important enough to get its own forum. But I really doubt you'll be able to get that to happen.

Here's where you are off. Who ever said that nudists don't go barefoot? YOU are the one who's argumant hinges on that. Nudists go barefoot all the time, maybe just putting on some sort of protection to walk on hot concrete or through the woods. We also have it over on you, because we do both, where as you guys are not going BOTH naked and barefoot.

Also, as I stated before--I think the reason nudists don't post here, is because they see all the stupid barefooting threads and don't take it as serious "nudist" forum. If the barefooting threads weren't everywhere, maybe that could change.

I didn't suggest that nudists don't go barefoot. I said that YOU are not a proper nudist because YOU don't. Nudists in general do and should, otherwise they're not nudists.

And I ask you again. Protection from what? Nudist beaches and nudist camps and nudist's own homes just about sum up all the places where it's acceptable to go naked. SO that's grass, sand and carpet where a lot of people who are neither nudists or barefooters prefer to go barefoot. It seems to me that you just like to show off your willy. A person who exposes their genetalia but isn't completely naked is neither a nudist or a naturist. He/she is simply a flasher.

If you want to see fewer barefooting threads, why not displace them with nudist threads. If nudists came in here and saw lots of barefooting threads, surely they'd just post nudist threads to make up for it. If they don't, then there can't be that many of them. The topic description is clearly about going naked, in fact barefooting is the last thing on the list so they should know that nudism is a welcome topic. The reason they don't post as much is because there aren't actually that many of them. Or maybe they're actually busy practising nudism instead of just moaning.

I think alot of nudists just got scared off by all of the nusiance posts lately and they'll probably come back when they think that things here have gotten more back to what theyre comfortable with.

There used to be alot of nudists threads here but now its mostly just hair and barefoot threads and nobody seems to want to talk about anything else.

Also there are some people here who are just on this forum to cause problems and throw mindless insults around and some of those people might be who scared off the nudists as well.

I just think we all need to work together here and figure out what we wanna do with this forum and just try to get along.

I never said that I don't go barefoot. I just carry flip-flops in case I need them.

I told you in a prior post, and just again in my last post to you. Sometimes protection on the soles of the feet is needed when the concrete is hot from the sun, or the ground is rocky, or in the woods. Nudists go into all kinds of areas, not just the ones you posted. Also, covering the soles of the feet temporarily doesn't mean anything. The bottoms of your feet are covered by the ground everytime you walk anyway. Your argument about covering the bottoms of one's feet is stupid.

YOU my friend are the "MOANER". You don't want to be put in a forum appropriate to your topic. So you constantly moan about it, even though it makes perfect sense. The reason TRUE NUDISTS don't post here, is because they see all the ridiculous barefooting threads, and they know it isn't a serious forum for nudists, then leave.

No one said that. The reason it needs to be changed is because barefooting and nudism are NOT ONE AND THE SAME, and the forums don't get serious visitors because the forums are so dis-organized then. Two topics that are so different should not be crammed into one forum. Both topics suffer then. I think you are afraid that no one will read your stupid barefoot threads if they are not amongst nudist threads.

You know displaying that level of ignorance says to me that you're all theory and no practice. And pretty bollocks theory as well.

The soles of the feet are not covered by the ground all the time, unless you're standing still. There's air circulating around them with every step, unlike with footwear of any kind which clings to the soles. Shoes not only encourage the growth of micro-organisms by generating the warm moist environment, but they also slow you down, prevent you from using your toes properly for balance and grip, and deny you a lot of pleasure and this is the point where you're coming unstuck- as it is far more pleasure than pain, that you feel - it just seems like pain at first because it's a lot of information that someone used to wearing shoes is going to be alarmed by at first, and it is only with a bit of practice that you acclimatise to it and realise that all the extra sensation is just sensation, and not damage being done to the feet. Feet were designed by nature to adapt and they do it pretty well if you give them a chance.

Really, if barefooting was hazardous and not fun or practical then there wouldn't be so many of us posting about how much we enjoy it, now would there?

Don't just take our word for it either. talk to the proper nudists who do it too!

And I'm not moaning about not being put in any forum! We're already in a forum appropriate to all kinds of ways of exposing the body or parts thereof. Why don't you just let us get on with it. If you want to see more nudism threads, bloody well post them! If all the barefooting threads were removed, well that would just mean fewer threads in the forum, not the same number of threads with different content.

This is a forum marked for nudists as well as barefooters. If not many nudists post that's because not many nudists choose to post. And it's not because they're put off. They just don't feel as inclined to post. So if you want to see more nudism topics, just post them! You'll get a response from as many as are interested.

Then why dont we call it "Nudism and Barefooting Forum"

We have a forum for Love and Sex, which are two entirely different things....

That is extremely arguable. Love is a "feeling" anyhow. "Sex" is called making "love". They are very close and I even go as far as to say, they need to be in the same forum.

    What a giant crock!

Air circulates just fine with flip-flops on. You are just knit-picking and getting technical about the issue because you don't want separate forums (for who knows what reason).

I can not understand why it would matter to you that your barefoot posts not be crammed among nudist posts. I see absolutely no logical reason for your behavior and not wanting to express your "lifestyle" with like-minded individuals, instead of forcing it on nudusts who could give two shits about it.

Due to the 'controversy' any forum splitting will be held off until a regular moderator is in place, hopefully this can be resolved by the end of the week. Please do not post any more comments about splitting of this forum in THIS thread at this time, please just moderator nominations. You are of course welcome to start a new thread (e.g. The Great Debate: What is /Baring It!?/) to discuss that matter further.
