Hillsboro is a pretty radical city, I saw a few videos of street racers over there. You live about 30 minutes from me, tryna party? Portland is so pretty, I didn't really like it at first but wow, it grows on you.
Hey, I'm up in Portland a bunch for work. I love going to the sauna and hot tub at the Everett house healing center. Anyone else go there? I'm looking for a friend to go with to talk to
I love Portland. But we are better off telling everyone from out of town that it sucks and to stay the f*** out for their own good. We don't need to popularize our treasure and encourage people from out of town to move in, bring their pretentious materialistic culture with them, and raise rent prices.
MOO HOO HAHAHAHA!!! No one knows about Portland and Ima ruin it!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!
I've had my sights set on Oregon for years and now I'm in position to make that dream a reality. I'm tired of Wisconsin, it's brought much suffering to my life and I want to leave it all behind. I'm not a materialistic individual, but I'm surrounded by the insanity of commercialism. It's maddening to live in a culture that derives it's happiness souly from objects that will never love them back. I've always felt a dark cloud hovering over this place. After being on the pedestrian end of a hit and run, that was the last straw. Just need to figure out some things before I spread these wings, I can't afford to crash and burn. I wish I didn't acquire PTSD and panic disorder, makes things a little difficult when it comes to planning. Regardless, I'm still going to try and make it this year. I can't stay here, it's really bad for my health. I just know for some reason that I'll be able to recover and regain a sense of humanity in Oregon.
Where in Oregon are you looking to land in when you set sail? Portland, I'm guessing from this thread. Yet, there's more than a pinch of materialism in that city. But, a lot more than a handful of homeless street kids and anti-materialism as well, so...
This is my dream city! I've been once before and absolutely loved it. Don't worry. I'm from the slums of New Mexico, so no threat of me driving up cost of living by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, I've met several people who have moved here from Portland and all I can say is "Why?!?" Half of the time they throw in some Breaking Bad reference. If only they knew...
When (if?)the water runs out in California and the real estate market goes toes up----it's north they'll come.
Love portland, one of the places I could see myself living in the near future, but so is anywhere on the west coast
