Thanks to the Taliban in Raleigh, PornHub has locked me out because I live in North Carolina.
    Can anyone suggest good alternatives?

FYI, Mandatory Age Verification used to be the norm for porn sites in the 90's
That said, maybe give XHamster a try.

    VPN: Virtual Private Network.

It only works to shield your details from outside users and sites. People forget that their own ISP (Internet Service Provider) can still see all of your traffic and personal details. You can't shield your info from the people who provide you with your internet connection.

XNXX has videos? I thought they were just a forum with a bunch of people that like giving newbies a hard time.

That’s not right, with a VPN your ISP can’t see where your traffic is going nor what it contains, that’s the whole point. All the ISP sees is encrypted traffic going to the VPN server.

These laws just reinforce how ignorant your average redneck Repulican is.

VPN's are the easiest workaround for this.

The ISPs in North Carolina are not the problem.

Well, the law doesn't require the ISP's to monitor traffic to PornHub (or others). They aren't accountable, so what do they care.

The responsibility is on PH to monitor its users.

I think you've missed my point. ISP's Always keep logs of your activity, no matter where you surf or what you read or view. They will routinely sell your information to companies that they have other contracts with. You agreed to that when you signed your 2 year contract, or your month to month service agreement. This is how and why you get targeted spam emails. It has nothing to do with getting people in trouble. On the whole, that's just business. But on the down side, if they give access to companies wanting to sell you things, the chance of an information breach that releases all your personal info is higher.

And sure, yes, if you do something illegal online, the ISP will let you know they know about it, almost before you are done doing what you shouldn't. Make no mistake, Monitoring is necessary and needed to keep you online and fapping to PH.
Someone at your ISP is watching you, and several hundred other customers. The Techs at the ISP are the worst kind of Trolls, because they can track you without you knowing it.

    I don't doubt this, but it's a bit off-topic.
The OP is trying to get access to porn. A VPN will help him with that.
The NC law says that PH has to verify its users... NOT that residents can't access porn (at least not yet).

I get that. And from my experience, it really doesn't. Who exactly are you trying to hide from on the VPN? PH? trying to get around the verification by using VPN to spoof your location? Or the NC Law, by pretending to be some place you aren't?

I had a VPN, changed my location to a country that was offering a movie I wanted to see. By teh time the movie finished downloading, my ISP sent me an email with the site name I downloaded form, the movie I downloaded from, My assigned IP, the IP that the VPN gave me and the name of the VPN Provider, telling me to delete the illegally obtained movie.

I cancelled the VPN, and went to a more expensive one that advertised stronger protection. Setup with a server in Japan to download some of their porn. The next Day the ISP sent me a warning about Content from other countries being illegal in the USA.

That's why I mentioned ISP's in the first place. Yes, they do watch you. Even if the emails weren't "OFFICIAL" and is was some Tech Troll trying to scare me, the traffic was still monitored and recorded. If the Local Authorities request it for some reason, the ISP can't refuse if they are served with a general warrant.

Wow... you need a new ISP. I use my VPN all the time to watch European sports on my TV.

I've never gotten one email from my ISP.

I don't get notices either for watching TV. I watch NHK in Japan all the time. I watch BBC Programs frequently. I get the notices though when I try to download content. Movies Like Justice League and Deadpool that were released in Europe or Japan, before the US. or Porn from countries known to not have the law laws on obscenity that the US does.
