Certainly a legal question. Does anyone know whatever became of people viewing porn in public libraries in the United States? I mean let's be frank, it was usually men. I just know, oh, about 15 or twenty years ago, that's all I heard in the local news. Men were viewing nothing but porn on the computer terminals in the local libraries. Now, I haven't heard a thing about it in years. Is it still an issue? Can you still do it? BTW, I've never viewed porn in public libraries. But, I mean, I do support the right of consenting adults to do as they wish in private. Of course you know that is kind of a thorny issue. Because when you do it in a public library, you are no longer doing it in private. So what's the legal status, among other things? I was just wondering...
Seems there was a software fix for that called NetNanny... libraries, schools, etc. use it to block any unwanted or 'offensive' websites from the browsers in said location. It's a filter between the user and the Internet... As to the legal issue, that is certainly a moot point.
