    Yo!
If you dont have acess to a grinder right now, do you have a mortar and pestal? Or even a blender?

I used to just smash them and never used a grinder.
    A grinder/blender is more effective,
but I used to get great results with just busting them up...

yeah man those are poppy seeds.
ever had a poppy seed bagel?
    YUM

you can save them for food, for growing, or to make a nasty poppy seed tea which I do not recommend.

And if you like the tea, be sure to find a nice spot to scatter the seeds so they'll grow (Scatter either now or come springtime, but I've read where fall sown plants have more of what you want) or just G.Y.O. indoors.

I received my pods earlier today as well I used a coffee grinder to grind them the first time. I only used four pods for 3 quarts water and ran it through twice in my coffee maker. I'm about to do a much more stronger batch and use 8 pods and remove the seeds from the pods before hand since I just grinded them up earlier when I did it first. I'll let you all know the results the first batch was weak but still did have a light effect.

one question about the method Im using. After heating the water, what would be more effective? putting the grinded pods into a coffee filter and then into the water, or just pouring the grinded pods into the water and stirring?

soak the pods in water for about half an hour, stirring occasionally. maybe add a bit of lemon juice, and some herbal tea if you have any.

then after 20-30 minutes strain the mush with cheese cloth or a t shirt

    drink

ok cool. Gonna make another batch tomorrow. I made like a half gallon today with like 5-6 pods, and it wasnt that strong but it got the job done. I been high since like 9PM, and its 3:30 in the morning.

and whats the deal with drying that mush and smoking it? can it really be done? is it really like smoking opium? can you just smoke the pods? what about eating the pods, although I dont think that would be very pleasant.
