by Thomas Ivan Dahlheimer Pope Francis celebrated this year's Earth Day with his proclamation "We need to care for the earth so that it may continue, as God willed, to be a source of life for the entire human family." He is expected to deliver a papal encyclical on climate change in June. A few years ago, Constance Cumbey, a climate change denier and author of the best-selling book, Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow: The New Age Movement and Our Coming Age of Barbarism, posted a story about me on her blog. It is entitled The Fifth Seal? Persecution of the Church?. In it she referred to my "close affiliation" with a world renowned environmentalist and "the best known New Age apostate from Catholicism, Matthew Fox." Her book offered the first major criticism of the New Age movement from a Christian perspective. Recently, Cumbey posted three blog posts about the currently popular UN/Vatican environmental collaboration topic. Two of those posts are entitled: Why do THESE [Vatican Declaration] make me think of THAT [Rev. 13]?! and Looks as if UN/Vatican Collaboration on Climate Change is "Done Deal" . In these blog posts, Cumbey indicates that she believes that because of the pope's recent environmental collaboration with leaders of the United Nations' New Age/New World Order mission that the Roman Catholic Church is fast becoming an anti-Christ church that will promote the new order agenda of the United Nations. The UN's New Age religious position on the nature of God and the universe is different than that of the Christian belief. The UN's New Age belief on this subject is that God is greater than the universe, that the universe is in God, that It permeates every part of nature, is part of nature, extends beyond nature, and is also distinct from it. The physical universe will come to an end, but God is eternal. Ultimately, God is Spirit. God "is part of nature," nature has a soul, it is a part of who God is. All of nature, including its soul, is a temporary emanation and modification of God that is less than worthy of worship. It has an essentially distinct identity. The body of nature's soul is the whole world. God has Its own body that contains the world while being infinitely more than the world. Christians do not generally believe that the world has a soul and that the universe is its body, and neither do they believe that the world is (in part) God's body. God, the Ultimate Supreme Being, "emanated," or brought forth from within Itself, a spiritual universe, and then another God corrupted it, causing it to become physically manifested. Humanity's goal is to experience Its true Identity. We are Divine and One with God. First, we become one with the universe, then, because it is somewhat corrupt, we transcend it and become one with God who is Spirit. We go through the universe to God. Cumbey wrongly believes that the UN's New Age people are pantheists and worship the Earth. The UN's New Age people are largely panentheists with a belief in an element of pantheism. They believe that because nature and the earth have been, to some extent, corrupt from their origins (and are temporary), they, therefore, (not being equal to God who is perfect and eternal) are not to be worshiped. The world soul is generally not accorded the status of being the ultimate source of life, or God, but might be, as stated by David Spangler, one of the founding figures of the modern New Age movement, "looked upon as a great angelic or archangelic being presiding over the well being of the world, or as the gestalt, the wholeness of all the lives and patterns that manifest upon, and as, the earth." Pope: After recently referring to his "God," whom he believes is "the ultimate source of life," Pope Francis proclaimed that "the earth" is "a source of life for the entire human family." The UN's New Age people who are largely panentheists believe in and promote a new age, neo-pagan syncretism. In another one of Cumbey' blog posts about the pope's new environmental mission, she provides a link to an article by Mary Jo Anderson, a renowned Catholic writer and speaker, who has been a frequent guest on "Abundant Life," an EWTN global Catholic television program, and her "Global Watch" radio program is heard on EWTN radio affiliates nationwide. In her blog post, Cumbey wrote: I had talks about it [this topic] in the past and she [Anderson] agreed with my analysis: Earth Worship was definitely where they were headed . This "Earth Worship" link goes to Anderson's article, Neo Gnostics at the End of the Age. Three paragraphs from the article are presented below. (1.) [The Roman Catholic Church's] opposition to the [UN] globalist agenda make the Church a target for subversion. If the atheist [or, New Age] worldview is to triumph, it must first rid itself of the Catholic Church. Or better yet, control the massive international organization from within and use its influence and institutions—schools, nursing homes, hospitals, universities—to serve the new world order. The Catholic Church is coveted by the globalists: Substitute a new age, neo-pagan syncretism in place of authentic doctrine, and the world falls into their pocket. (2.) New Age troops rejoice that America is returning to its indigenous antecedents where "native spirituality" is "naturally" overtaking the flaccid Christian remnant—it is all part of their cyclical view of history. The natural (feminine, gentle) religion of the earth is reasserting itself over the (masculine war-like) dogmatic creeds, claim its proponents: The Age of Aquarius must be embraced; its turn of the cosmic wheel is upon us. (3.) The new order is a Brave New World of total control: spiritual control (Peace Summit) population control (United Nations' Cairo, Beijing and Earth Summit) environmental control (UN Sustainable Development and Kyoto Protocol to preserve the planet and guarantee "freedom from pollution") to insure "species protection," (UN bio-diversity treaty) "food security" (UN Food Summit) genetic control (no genetically imperfect mommy and daddy—their off-spring will be a drain on the universal health care) thought control (UN mandated educational standards--can't allow the old faith or old freedoms to be taught). Totalitarian utopias envision an utterly perfect world where "peace" is insured by state control of every facet of life. The UN proactively seeks to build a one world religion and world government. I believe that the Roman Catholic Church will abandon its old scientifically outdated/false doctrines and replace them with new age, neo-pagan syncretic doctrines, and in so doing, establish a new church. And I believe that this "new church" will give its full support for the United Nations' New Age/New World Order mission. And that its support will enable the UN to quickly establish the new order.
he's probably the best pope a pope has ever been or will be. that being said, nothing human is without warts, and of course a pope is bound by the context of his office. to which i say good for him, for pushing the envelope of that, in most of the directions he's doing so.
He's a Gnostic not a "New Ager", wont catch him trying to heal anyone with Crystals or checking their star charts. Gnosticism predates Emperor Constantines lies and fearmongering by a long shot "(3.) The Bible supports panentheism if you read it with an open mind at face value. It always surprises me how so many Christians think they have to be in conflict with nature in order to be a true Christian. They should read Job sometime.
I forgot to "quote", might have given the wrong impression? ,,, it's nice to finally see more Good Stewards of the Earth appearing in prominent social roles. i.e. I think most fears of an NWO and "Agender 21" can be blamed on mouth breathers like Alex Jones who've probably never read the original document let alone bothered to follow along their ever-changing and evolving program to end global poverty and other horrid conditions for those with the least of all in this world,
