Often times people are not able to define their stance on some of the most important public policy stances. On the following issues are you L-left, R-right, C-center, or U-undecided? The lines get blurred with this false dichotomy system we've been led into so feel free to use ANTI or PRO. The important thing is to know what's important to you and hopefully to feel free in having a discussion on the issues. Change comes from productive discussion. Why the need to pigeon hole and categorize people based on such a lame and arbitrary assessment as political views?
I'm very interested in anyone who has differing views and I seek to understand their reasons for those differing views. I'm more than happy to give the reasons for my views on any of these topics, just ask about one of them.
All of our views are relevant, we just discuss them all too rarely. We've been convinced not to talk about religion and politics by the PC police even though these things have a dramatic effect on our lives and the course of history in general. To refuse discussion is to accept a position of irrelevance, and cede all important decisions to corrupt, bought politicians and those who control them. If you want zero control over your destiny and your family's destiny, by all means stay ignorant and isolated. My proposition is that we become informed and integrated.
Of your first proposition to discuss your views is to discuss you views. To discuss them at all abrogates any rarity and based on the preponderance of sampling, we can't keep from discussing things. love fifteen, second serve
The sense, the intellect, belongs to the reader. Characterization of someone else's views doesn't quite get it. It blew by you an ace. Love thirty.
Boy, you really are new here. All these supposed "taboo" topics you keep harping on have been/are/will be discussed in these forums, very often at great length by LOTS of people. What you are failing to see it it is YOUR particular slant on these things that most find ignorant and distasteful, and actually does border on "hate speech" of the type not really desired on this site. Here's a clue for you, make of it what you will. after your initial thread about IQ/wealth/race, how many people are flocking to engage you in conversation in these other threads?? Not that many from what I can see. take a hint, ain't got nuttin' to do with the topics, it's all you, Cletus. :afro:
So what effect politically does the intellect have in looking in the mirror and trying to convince everybody how petty/pretty you look? The effective political maneuver is to change someones mind, come to consensus and a single thought can change a whole mind as long as it is a good enough one.
I can really see the large grey area in everything you listed except for the areas pertaining to human rights. Pro and anti is still very much a dichotomy.
Our fact of existence is we contend to the extent we are able. You want to uphold human rights be righteous.
People have been trying to squeeze this into a formula for generations. Voters always fool them. Because most voters of either primary party in the US are political centrists. They have been labeled as independents by both sides because neither wants to admit that Americans routinely vote across party lines. Only the fanatics stick rigidly to a party and assume the other is evil incarnate. Which is why race-based politics is doomed to failure. The democrats are discovering this now. For years they have pushed what most interpret as the left-leaning, multicultural mantra of fairness and equality for all. BUT, they have been very obvious in their racial perspectives and have even gone so far as to express bigotry and racism against white Americans in an effort to ingratiate themselves with minority voters. Which has worked well actually. Their efforts to promote minority interests has worked so well that they themselves are being voted out! The last of the southern dixiecrats is gone now, as of this year. Out with a whimper. No celebrations for finally taking the last vestiges of the confederacy down. Instead we see American politics aligning by race, which is a terrible state for us to be in. Non-white Americans are giddy about the power they gain as they take over the democratic party. But where are the white democrats going? Thanks to their lack of foresight, the republicans have control of more state government than at any other time in History. As we see, it makes life difficult for a democratic president. Near as I can tell the democrats brought it onto themselves with their hard line, win at any cost thinking. As they continue to cull their ranks of old white people, whites will essentially be forced out of the democratic party entirely. Will they become republicans? Or will that simply morph into the "White" party? What a nightmarish potential all this racial horseshit presents. And in the 21st century of all things.
