It's true that there haven't been a lot of protests against the Republican agenda but there is outrage. We can only hope this outrage mainfests itself in November by the American people voting the GOP out of office en masse.
Yeah, now if only 25% of the democratic voters could actually vote - students on campus, the elderly, the poor, the working poor that can't get to the polls to spend hours waiting at the strategically placed polling places far across town with no parking or public transportation and the mail in system essentially bulldozed since it obviously worked too well. Voter maps strategically designed to eliminate democratic voters, all done legally, Texas style. Early voting - they're axing all of those sites here - there's two in the county - oh, only they're going to be open for a few days during the work week, no early or late hours. Now we need Voter ID. Many of the working poor and elderly do not have driver's licenses and the documentation they require is similar to getting a damn passport. People that have moved - do you have your 20 year old voter registration card handy? No wonder young people and minorities don't vote. Not only is it a carefully contrived pain in the ass, it's damn discouraging. How can anyone motivate them before it's too late??
We need slogans like, "Vote! No matter how hard they make it!" or "Stop the gridlock! Vote Democrat!"
