Police Kill Naked Man Eating Another Naked Man's Face

I was right!

 

Yesterday they aired the interview with the victim. He sounds fairly articulate and alert, not the presumed crazy staggering homeless person one would imagine. Which is even more scary since it could have been any one of us had we been walking that sidewalk over the causeway. Who knows, I came on the scene within 20 minutes when all the cops were there. Had Poppo not been there this nutcase woulda been on the streets of Miami, right where I was.

MIAMI, Fla. -- Ronald Poppo, the Miami 'zombie' face-chewing attack victim, is speaking about the face-chewing attack that captured the world's attention months ago.

WFOR reporters this week obtained documents from Miami homicide Det. Sgt. Altarr Williams and Det. Frankie Sanchez.of Poppo's summation of the events.

"He attacked me," WFOR reports Poppo said of Rudy Eugene. "He just ripped me to ribbons. He chewed up my face. He plucked out my eyes. Basically that's all there is to say about it."

Poppo told WFOR he does not understand why Eugene attacked him.
"For a very short amount of time I thought he was a good guy," Poppo said. "But he just went and turned berserk. He apparently didn't have a good day at the Beach and he - he was coming back. And I guess he took it out, took it out on me or something. I don't know."

Sgt. Williams asked Poppo what Eugene was saying when he attacked him.

"'You, me, buddy, and nobody else here,'" Poppo recalled. "'I'm gonna - gonna kill you.' Or something like that, I guess."

"Did he say why?" Williams inquired.

"No, he just started to scream," Poppo explained. "And was talking kind of funny talk for a while too."

"What do you mean by funny talk?" Williams asked.

"That I was gonna die. And he was gonna die," Poppo said. "He must have been souped-up on something."

Although he seemed at peace with what happened to him, certain details of the attack were still vivid in Poppo's mind.

"He mashed my face into the sidewalk," he said. "My face is all bent and mashed up. My eyes, my eyes got plucked out. He was strangling me in wrestling holds at the same time he was plucking my eyes out."

In a subsequent interview, Poppo told detectives that Rudy Eugene blamed Poppo for stealing his bible. Pieces of Eugene's bible were found scattered along the causeway. Poppo said he never saw Eugene with a bible and denied taking it.

"Did Mr. Eugene have anything in his hands?" Williams asked.

"No." Poppo said, his New York accent still evident despite decades of homelessness and living on the streets of Miami. "Mr. Eugene did not have any type of weapon. He did not use any weapon on me. He basically was using brute force."

"But before he attacked you," Williams wondered, "did he have any clothes? Any materials? Any books?

"No," Poppo said. "I don't recall him having anything."

Poppo also denied doing anything to provoke Eugene.

"What can provoke an attack of that type?" Poppo asked matter-of-factly. "I certainly didn't curse at the guy or say anything mean or nasty to him."

I feel for him so much, the lasting psychological trauma and the physical trauma. The image in the article is pretty shocking, not for the faint of heart.

Humans continue to surprise me with what they are capable of, whether on drugs or not.

 

perhaps the guy suffered from some mental issues?
i mean don't really think bibble or marijuana have to do directly with it

They never did sort out all those pills in his stomach... Easier to just blame weed...

Indeed bath salts can be any stimulant toxin or drug that is not controlled. I am not saying that is what caused this but it is absurd to say there were unidentified pills in his stomach and then say the single drug he tested positive for is cannabis.

Yes he was positive for cannabis why do you people not do your job? Identify the pills you got the lab funded by society. No excuses!

They should have said he tested positive for cannabis and we have been unable to identify the other drugs that he obviously had taken.

 

Bath salts act as a synthetic coke and meth, the meth gets into your brain and the coke traps it there meaning you dont come down from the "high" and in such will cause skytso. Marijuana has never killed anyone and it sure as hell has never made anyone act like this.

 

He may have had a psychiatric problem. I saw an article from his mother saying he always carries his Bible. So he had his Bible at a party in Miami Beach? That sounds odd.

After talking about it to the homeless man, he may have gone into psychosis.

 

Maybe he went fishing and caught a blow fish and ate it he then fell into a zombie like near death state due to the tetrododtoxin. He eventually awoke as a zombie and decided to chew somebody's face off.

Makes more sense than the explanation we have been given.

 

This is very disgusting and not a humanity. I think this is not legal how could police shot a man died when he was naked. This is really a serious matter.

 

Oh, Michal2012 my friend, it is very legal. First, the guy is attacking another man. Do you want to break up such a fight with YOUR bare hands? I wouldn't. Well, unless they're YOUR bare hands and not mine, then I really don't care.
Second, anything the cops do is ok. They can shoot/kill you execution style, beat your wife to death, and ass-rape your 12 year old daughter and they will still get away with it. Because they are cops. And so now everything is ok, just keep cool and let them do as they wish....
