Pole Vault World Record 2-15-2020

This is my favorite news story of 2020, so far. Armand Duplantis, at the age of 20, cleared 20 feet in pole vault in the year 2020. He actually cleared 6.18 meters which is approx 20' 3.3". Here is the video. If you are not familiar with pole vault, his vault was so perfectly timed that he cleared the bar with half a foot to spare and it looked easy! Most vaulters will struggle to clear 19 feet. Only 2 other humans have cleared 20' in pole vault, Sergey Bubka accomplished this in 1991 and Renaud Levillenie did this in 2014.

Here is the video evidence. I always hear news about Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, Auto Racing, etc., but a new world record in pole vault is not very news worthy. I wonder why?
