Well, at least people are stimulating their brain cells in a meaningful way when they're reading a book. And depending on what they're reading, they might actually learn something. But that seems to be a lot of effort for most millennials these days. I just don't see what's fun walking around like an idiot staring at a phone, but that's just my opinion and I am not forcing anyone to agree with me.
Well I went to a nearby park because someone set a lure at the stop there and met a bunch of new people. I ended up walking home with the 2 guys that set the lure since they live really close to me. We had a great conversation on the walk that had nothing to do with pokemon, so don't tell me my brain wasn't stimulated pr! The people who don't get this game or its appeal clearly didn't grow up watching pokemon. I'm a motherfucking pokemon trainer guys! Childhood dreams are coming true!
When I had kids in the house. I did a mural of Ash and Pikachu on the wall.. when kids was grown and gone. I painted a bong in Pikachus hand.
i won't ask what your DOING on your phone (of course it isn't hunting pokimon lol) well it would give me something to do with one if i ever got another one, except i'd still have to buy the damd ap, which i'm sorry, but having to pay for a bunch more crap to be able to actually use one of those things to do anything, other then the crap they come preloaded with that you still have to pay for. as long as i have to have a phone, a credit rating and a car payment to have a credit rating to move into a real house or appartment, i'll continue living in cheap dives in walking distance to a bus stop. the pokimon thing, compared to mast of the rest of the crap people expect and demand of themselves and each other these days, yes, a stress tollerant life style is more harmful then the occasional knife in the sholder. it, not pokimon, and not the lie that it has anythng to do with nature, human or otherwise, is why we have things like mass and other so called terror shootings and so on. really the only thing that bugs me about the whole thing at all, is that people are actually PAYING FOR IT. when i was growing up, fun wasn't something you paid for, and if you had to pay for something, it generally wasn't all that much fun. that was and is, because being creative is what makes us human, watching someone else compete or emote or whatever, isn't.
Ooooooo, that's the kind of joke I'd expect from an insensitive p***k like me, or another half dozen guys here I could name Not from you, we expect better from you #TooSoon
I think it's fun to hate on the game primarily because it is a phenomenon that highlights a generational divide. However with the games conceptual format, I think it also raises many legitimate issues regarding privacy, public safety, and other burgeoning concerns of augmented/virtual reality, which perhaps many people are just not ready to confront and maybe were not expecting to face so rapidly, particularly from phones.
People will find any excuse to hate anything popular. So they can pretend to be non conformist and think they're better than everybody else. I remember when the Pokemon craze first came out. I guess I was a hater back then. Because at my school, if you liked it you were seen as a dork and an outcast.
Not suggesting you went this route but for whatever reason as I was reading this, I was thinking... I bet some cosplay fetishist could have fun with this game.
Isn't it pay to win as the gaming coumminity would call it? You can download the game for free but to really play it you need to spend money. That's how games work now because people don't think of all these $5 charges adding up and they spend much more then they think. Just like a drug the first taste is free that's how they get you.
Shhhhhh.... You weren't supposed to tell anyone until next month after the first phone bill hit the mail.
I was riding my bike through the waterfront park today and there were a bunch of Pokemon players there, blocking the road, not watching where they were going, staring at their phones. It ruined the view.
Ha yes, so did you lol or..? Come on lets be honest! I thought about the 'too soon' yes, but hey, it came to my mind now... and I thought if I post it in the pokemon topic instead of the news thread about it maybe some people can actually appreciate the joke.
