Thoughtless perfection? You only have to describe this state in terms of negative so the mind can't make it into something to believe in. Nature is beautiful, nature radiates love, and only when the mind is still can the beauty, energy, joy, and love be felt for what it is and not what the mind "thinks" it is. When acid throws you in that state your mind isn't trying to squeeze a label on everything it is experiencing, it's just being at one with all it's senses as it probably once was originally. Time and mind are inseperable, it's no wonder this state usually feels like eternity when the mind isn't busy making it's needless noise. Now is eternity.

Certain people probably need more to reach this so-called "point of reaction" because there isn't enough LSD in their system to subdue their noise making ego. Just let go and ride the waves :) :hat:

    Well...that is so true....
Its actually a bad thing to comtemplate something when you're on a trip. Usually point of reaction is experienced when a tripper is not aware of what is happenning and is really short in time, like about 2-3 minutes, maybe we have all experienced it but probably we're not aware of it.

Well now I totally understand what this thread is about, Thanks Swoosh. "Point of Reaction", what a fancy term for such a simple idea.

I dont understand, are people just talking about an intense moment on acid? I cant see how the words 'point of reaction' reflect that at all?

I've hit this point (or as close as I can relate) once..
I can't put the experience into words. It will only cheapen what actually happened,
but I can tell you it came on with auditory hallucinations, and there was a joining together or merging of ''two'' (whatevers) in my mind, which became ''one''.
That's as close as I can get to summing the experience up.. and yes, it sounds stupidly shallow. I know.

Thoughtless perfections with certain senses combining and crossing into one seems to come close. Realizing and knowing the beauty in nature directly rather than thinking of it or trying to rationalize it/ interpret everything you are going through (which is unnatural anyway). As a spiritual teacher said, your mind can not know the tree, only labels, facts, and informations about the tree. "Being, alone, knows directly". Pure love, joy, and beauty is usually perceived as what it is when the mind is still. With acid in the mix it also becomes a pure energetic bliss.

Now even these words I'm saying are merely sign posts to the reality of which it points. Actually experiencing that pure love, joy, and beauty is something absolutely incredible. Words just destroy its essense, as words are just labels. Acid can be incredibly useful towards getting a taste of that point.

point of reaction... neat phrase. I think I have experienced what you are trying to explain.

The description of the sensation is "everything is everything" or perhaps "being plugged into the hyperspace dimension"

nobody has the words to describe it, but it is a worthwhile goal to try.

I think you gota it down pretty good, realizing rather than rationalizing. I remember for most of the time I had felt like I was simply floating, like my point of origin (3rd eye) was not connected to my body but just floating up and down slightly and effortlessly. Can't really remember much thought going through my head because it was all perception, just taking in constantly. Was never a dull moment thats for sure..
