They were after my time to play with them but i used to see them in the hobby shop and would pick up some that i thought looked cool i have a penguin slammer on my bookshelf
What the fuck? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKbhUegP2Mo"]Intense Game of Pogs - YouTube Whatever happened to normal kid activities, like lighting fires.
You had to be on a whole different level of nerd to play pogs. I was an absolute pyro with my uncle who's 2 years younger than me. We used to make bombs out of black cats and flame throwers with cans of spray paint. The missing finger print on my right middle finger is proof of this.
My son and his buddy used to blow up aerosol cans and stuff...that dumb neighbor kid blew his eyebrows right off his face one time.
Haha. Yeah we used to blow up g.i. joes and whatever else we could think of. Why my dad would buy us fireworks at that age is beyond me. I'm shocked I still have all of my toes and fingers.
The kid that blew his eyebrows off had to walk into the house with his shirt pulled over his head, actually playing "I Am Cornholio" so his parents would see his face. I don't know what he ended up telling them during the weeks it took the eyebrows to grow back in, lol.
I used to play with pogs when I was younger...always liked collecting ones with cool pictures on them haha.
I played Pogs. I was pretty good and had to win Lion King pogs for my best friend. I didn't have a huge collection. I remember I liked the pogs that had some kind of a furry texture to them, with the harry guy on it. I think I tried to get real authentic Pogs and they were of higher value in our school yard than anything else. And we called slammers "kini" or in the plural form kinis (like bikinis). Before Pogs, marbles were super popular in our school yard, and I had a NKOTB fanny pack full of them.
I won't even get into stories, I'll just say the fire marshal knew me personally and where I lived haha.
there are more then one definition. once upon a time, when milk came in glass bottles that were delivered by milkmen in the wee small hours of the morning, there was a wooden stopper that was part of the way they were capped. sometimes these were printed with colorful advertisemenst. parents would give them to their children to play with, something like tiddley winks, which were little plastic disks that came later. for some odd reason, sometime in the 80s i think it was, people started making replicas of those wooden plugs and others started making games with them. but at any rate, the young of certain species, such as echedinas and hedgehogs, are also called pogs.
Thats what it was. They wer making fun of Cabbage Patch Kids cause they were the hot kids toy at the time.
