Hahaha, I had a friend once who asked, in all seriousness "How come every time someone mentions acid, someone else has to bring up LSD?"

Dear friend of mine, but...he didn't know they were the same thing. 22 year old dude. Public school, american upbringing and everything. Actually he was a pre-med student too which made it a bit more surprising...
