Possible difference being time and expectations. He probably just got fed up and presuming age equates maturity, (it can be a stretch at times!) he may have expected more from us.

A warning was given but people insisted on pushing buttons so what happened was hardly surprising.

 

It woulod suck if YH got closed, but I wouldn't care for that long. It'd probably force me to have a real life and do my school work

That being said, if there was ultamite Skip bashing goign on, i can understand his motives for closing it...

 

well this is gonna be hard for me...im not on to often, and alot of what i say is not always on topic. i'd be pretty bummed if YH was closed...it'd be like as if buldozers came to run over our beloved home town. sucks for the random thoughts people, im sure

 

Does anyone know if Skip has plans to re-open RT eventually?

 

this place is dullsville without the craziness of rt...if yh goes this place will die
rt got what was coming to it, maybe if we're nice they'll bring it back but we deserved it :&
yh kids are too nice to get booted i think though

 

I agree ... if YH is also closed this site will loose ALOT of members.

part of the YH forum is the randomness and the craziness and the threads that dont make sense and the threads that go through 5 billion topics before actually coming to an end. if we stop the way we have been posting for so long, YH will not be the same.

I wont change the way I post just on a scare that OH NO, skip may close down this forum. it sounds like he closed RT for a totally different reason [skip-bashing], a reason that usually does not happen here.

I dont really think we have anything to worry about. YH may go off topic and talk about some random shit, but skip does not really have any reason to close this forum. So, I will be going on and posting like I usually post and hope to hell that I'm right. It would totally suck if he closed YH cuz this is pretty much the only forum I frequent on here anymore.. but, if he does, I will just go back to the SKUNK and revive that motherfucker

i also just read the thread about RT being shut down in the User Support forum and not once did skip mention closing YH down. There was only one dude who SUGGESTED doing it [fucking asshole]

 

that blows i used to post when i had a random thought or felt someone else's random thought needed to be addressed...i hope it comes back

This is Skip's site, he can do whatever he wants. He's trying to do what's right for the forums, he can't cater to each individual's preferences.

That said, I really don't mind seeing RT or YH go. Did either of them really serve a particular purpose? I don't think so. If worst comes to worst, you can all start up one of those private forums. Nahhhhh meeen?
