Being raised by a woman isn't a problem(I was and I think I'll do fine), but being raised w/o a male figure, is a problem.

i just have to say....... and soulless, you know i think you're great & all, :)

this is a totally out of line; although there is no doubt that there are cops out there who use their power and position negatively, you need to grow up and learn that most cops are good people, out there every day risking their fucking lives (or balls...;) ) to keep the average peaceful person safe. i know a few policemen through friends, and all of them are good, down-to-earth folks that have shitloads of stories about the drunken or drugged idiots they have to deal with on a regular basis. i'm sick of these so-called cop haters; i'd like to know who you expect your family to call when someone's trying to steal the family car, or break into the house, or pound someone's face in outside.
give me a break. and interval, if you're really leaving, i'm sorry that your life has taken a nose-dive, and i wish you wisdom first, then good luck.

    peace-
    sophia

I dissagree, if they still have some sort of authority figure of the opposite sex around to connect with. I lived 2000+ miles away from my dad for over 10 yrs now, but I still talked with him a lot, and had a very open relationship with him. Even over the phone having that male influence really helped balance my perspective of life and was a big help in understanding a lot of issues with life. Other than having horrible parents, I don't think the parental situation alone can be blamed for anything. I really feel it's an combination of that and ones surroundings.

You're right, Marie. I went back through and re-read. I stand corrected.

Sarcasm. I always say that to women when they start male bashing.

i dont think anything can be blamed for anything..actually...we all have circumstances and then we have choices...there isnt any blame

but no, i cant say one way or another about having no male figure. i have a mom, stepdad who fought like cats and dogs...cops would be over the house all the time...and then a dad and stepmom who have had 2 fights the entire 20 years they have been together...so i really have alot of balance....
the only reason i said that in the first place is cause if we want....we can blame anything on anything but...........it doesnt mean its true

Nah. I think it is a claim that may hold some water. But don't go only on that. Go read the thread. It's a great discussion.
