Of interest are the videos that examine the references Gary Taubes has quoted incompletely and out of context in an effort to shape the opinion of the general public in favor of his ideological views, namely, a libertarian stance that absolves the general public of any personal responsibility for their condition of obesity and that shifts all the blame to the government and people and groups who Taubes perceives as being nefarious health authorities. The former sidekick and boy wonder of Taubes, Peter Attia, when he was a member of the NuSI group of Taubes did a good melodrama performance of this stance and shed tears during a youtube video while apologizing for the medical establishment which he says caused people's obesity. Attia didn't do any tear-shedding performance when he quietly left NuSI in 2015.
