know i was forgetting many more of them. mill valley and climbing, walking felt like climbing, up the road that had used to be a railroad, up mount tamilpias. i'm sure there are many more that will come to mind as time goes on. mostly in northern half of california, oregon, and nevada. oh yes, i was also to manhattan, (nyny) once, where my mother grew up, but mostly i've only lived as an adult in the u.s. west of the rockies. oh there's a place called michigan bluff, that's in northern california. also a place called monte vista, just up the road from where i lived, in colfax, and even closer was a place called magra where the freeway crosses the old highway. there's also a place i think i've been through, called mystic. i forget which state its in, but its one of the three, though i'm not even sure about that. mogul nevada, though it now has another name i forget, a suburb of reno now, between reno and verdi. there's a bunch of mount this that and the other too of course, lots of little places that are no longer places, places where the railroad used to stop, that it still uses their names.
