Ive seen it twice and I don't think I like it either time. Once sober and once on shrooms. Especially compared to the actual album The Wall it just doesn't do it for me. Its like how many people prefer books to the movie type thing. The images in my head when listening to the album The wall were nothing remotely like what that movie was like and the fact some of it is performed by others did not agree with me.

I remember really liking it as a teenager. Then after watching it again 20 years later, it was one giant /facepalm.

    Too goddamn slow.

    I'd rather watch Tommy.

I love it. I tried not to compare it to the album though. Things like this dont usually translate well to different media. Well i dont think so anyway. I think its brilliant but i really have to be in the zone to watch it :)

I saw the movie before I ever heard the entire album so I never had any other images in my head. And its the movie I would pick if I could only watch one from now on.

I saw it as a midnight movie , I was sober and not high , in the 80s some where . I have the vhs tape also . I remember the kids falling in to the meat grinder , the guy going mad in a room and smashing up a bunch of gutars , and lots of battle scenes . desert rat

i often hear the two movies compared to each other but i dont see in at all.
and recently the director of the upcoming cobain biography said that his movie will be like the wall for this generation.
i cant help but think one thing about that statement... "he knows that the wall wasnt a biography, dosnt he?"
