Now, that looks like a picture documentary on a training course for advanced barefooters... gravel of different sizes...
    :D

Neat!! BTW, it's also the easiest and cheapest way to get a free foot massage if you're barefooting alone.

    wiggling toes,

Sorry to do this, but in the spirit of fairness, this is a thread about YOUR feet, NOT those of someone else. If we're going to demand a standard, it should be applied to posts of ALL images, not only those that we may personally like.

Now, let's get back to posting images of our OWN feet; here's one of mine:

The Pacific island term for flip flops, jandals, slippers, pluggers, go-aheads, choose your name (The historic spelling is actually, zōri, which is the name of the traditional Japanese sandal from which the modern name was adopted.

And since the weather was fitting the date of the spring equinox, I decided to add a little "bling" to my feet (well, to one toe, to be precise) by applying some purple glitter nail polish onto the nail of my big toe:

With this extra of foot decoration, I was ready to get on my way to work...

With my feet all ready, I got out into the sun and onto my way to work. The sunlit pavement felt already quite warm, despite the still cold air (only about 2°C this morning):

Even waiting for the tram wasn't unpleasant, since the tram stop was a sunlit place, as well:

One of my regular pre-work walks leads to a mall in the city center, where I walk around, get some drinks and snacks to feed on while sitting at my desk... that errand includes grocery shopping and riding the occasional escalator (so far without any harm... which shoddies are keen to point out will befall any barefoot user of these things.)

After being properly equipped for work, there was a short bus ride coming on, and I was looking forward to exit the bus and walk a sunlit sidewalk to the office building:

These are the happy moments for my bare toes, as I walk slowly to the company building...

However, these moments are over all too swiftly, as I apporach the building, and those nasty contraptions which I carried in my shoulder bag to be used at work (as per regulation, there) are making their entrance:

    Birks, from stage left!

The dreaded moment has come... my merrily colored toe and the rest of my feet are getting hidden inside the foot coffins, until the moment my shift ends...

But even those dreaded moments are over at some point, and then it is back to happy toes feeling the ground... in today's case a bit after sunset, and together with a daffodil that had just opened this morning...

So much for a nice beginning of the spring season.

    Wiggling (now happy) toes,

Disclaimer: all feet pictured in this and the previous two postings of mine are my own.

Post Number 250! Happy Anniversary to me!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, plus many people see themselves differently than others do. I think I often look rather boring when I see myself in the mirror, but I've had people tell me I look very nice.

As the nice spring weather continued yesterday, I was happily barefoot, running my weekend shopping errands, including a short trip to the drugstore. In there, one product specifically caught my eye, and I decided to take a closer look and see what it contains.

The product is called "Fuß-Butter" in German, and yes, that translates to "Foot Butter"! :D

It's a moisturizing cream, containing shea butter, avocado oil, bees wax, lanolin, aloe vera and smells of grapefruit and mint. I was intrigued enough to spend 2.95 euros (about 4.00 USD) for it and take it home with me.

When first applying it (as the usage information suggested: "apply generously on your feet and massage it in"), the fruity and minty scent of it filled the room, and also a slight cooling effect on my feet set in (OK, since the stuff is moist, that could have been a typical evaporation effect), and the cream was quickly absorbed into the skin. Even after a whole day and night, the skin of my soles still feels supple and soft to the touch, as "living leather" should.

And the yummy smell of that stuff... however, even though it has the word "butter" in its name, I won't spread it on my toast for breakfast.
    :p

    wiggling yummy toes,
