That was my steampunk attempt but it failed so miserably compared to the others at the event I attended. Hubby's shirt was for that event, too. Another fail. I made his epaulets out of beer caps. The red dress is from a local band's video shoot. I was pretending to shoot the band with my wand during a break in the filming. The pirate is just what I wore to add to the fun for the Trick-or-Treaters at my house. I wish I could get to my old pics. There were some good ones through the years.
If you had those steampunk goggles, it would have pulled the whole thing together. I don't think it was a fail.
I think I made some that didn't end up in the pic after I was home and pretty disgusted with the whole evening, lol.
you remind me so much of a friends mum I have Aeri! i think you'd get a long really well with her she runs her own crystal shop and into wicca and witches and fantasy and god you two look alike too.
Oh nice! Can you make me a cloak? Lol I'm just kidding. Awesome costumes. The way I see it, I grew up poor and I always had to make my costumes. We'd go to the store and my mom would tell me pick out one thing to use for my costume and the rest I'd have to improvise. I think it helped make me the crafty cheapo I am today lol I'm always like why the hell would I pay 50 bucks for that when I can make it for 10? There's nothing wrong with making your costume. If it isn't perfect, so what? At least you had fun.
I thought the same thing. I was like man you go all out, even dressing in drag. Which reminds me, if I can get my gf's permission, I might share a picture where she's dressed in drag as Billy Idol.
