I was just saying last night to a friend of mine (while we were smoking) "Imagine how amazing Sublime would be if Bradley was still alive."
slint and nirvana. but then again, it might be better that all these bands have died off, because bands start to suck bizzalls if they're around too long.
If you guys liked Led Zep you should see Page & Plant if they tour again. I saw them in Atlanta in 98 and it absolutely rocked. No Bonham or John Paul Jones but it sounded great and they were very energetic unlike some other classic rock people I've seen recently(Sweaty Teddy I'm looking at you....).
Cream-I love to say it. Plastic Ono Band-That would mean John Lennon would still be alive. Led Zeppelin-Well they're just awesome, no need for more explanation. Creedence Clearwater Revival-I don't think their still together...I know John Fogerty does shows every once in awhile...If I'm wrong about this correct me.
CCR broke up I think in the late 70's. Tom Fogerty, John's brother died of TB in the 80s. The other 2 band members tour as Creedence Clearwater Revisited. John could still be doing shows as a single performer.
Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Hendrix, The Clash, The Who, all bands I wish were still around. On a side note, I heard from a radio station that Pink Floyd may tour next year WITH Waters....which would be awesome. Don't know how credible the source is though...
Q magazine published this story saying there's been speculation and Roger had been talking to Floyd management, but Floyd management denies Pink Floyd will be touring.
The Thelonious Monk Quartet, The Beatles, or The Grateful Dead (in their original glory!) All Beautiful, in their own way.
