The Who is kind of still together. But it'd be cool if Keith Moon was alive. And now even John isn't there, so in my mind they were one of those bands where each member was so important to the sound. Can't have the Who with anybody but those four guys.
    I'll agree.

    nirvana for one

and metallica......the way they used to be they just suck now, the band may as well just break up. they havnt had a half decent cd since black came out in early 90s.

oh and for thoes that said alice in chains and sound garden (two other band I like). ya have to remember thoes two bands had baby and called it audio slave. which is a good band in its own right.

I wish that The Black Crowes get back together with Marc Ford..but that will be just as unlikely as seeing Blind Melon or Jeff Buckley :(

    Mother Love Bone

They did that cool song "Chloe Dancer" on the "Singles" soundtrack. Mother Love Bone was the pre-Eddie Vedder Pearl Jam. But Andrew Wood (name right?) died of a heroin overdose (so passe now...) in the late 80s/early early 90s or so, and Mother Love Bone ceased to exist. [Speaking of Soundgarden, since they have recently been mentioned and reiterated, Chris Cornell and Andrew were roommates.]

Do you remember when Temple of the Dog (Cornell, Vedder, Gossage and the gang) did that album (the "Hunger Strike" song got lots of play)? That album was a tribute to the death of the Mother Love Bone singer...

Though Mother Love Bone may have sucked by now... But Chloe Dancer is a HOT, sexy song...
