I own the first three Die Hard movies on Blu-ray but not the last two, and both Speed movies on Blu-ray. Yes, both.

I love Roy Clarke. His works are based on a lifetime of experience and his real life stories are even funnier than his scripts.
Last of the Summer wine is set in his home town and all the characters relate to people from his childhood and working life. Open all hours and Keeping up appearances follow the same pattern. They also use many of the same cast.
Without researching it, do you know what his fulltime job was.?

I have seen all of those show. Mostly the original Open all Hours on Gold. I'm going to guess that he was a farmer. :)
