    Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can help with an issue I have atm.Around 2.5 weeks ago,I started coughing. The cough was'nt too bad,but I have been coughing up green coloured phlegm.I started to take some garlic (antioxidant)and do inhalations with Obus oil but it didn't make any difference. After a few days,I decided to visit my doctor. After examining me,he wrote me a prescription for antibiotics,a weeks worth, which I finished taking last Tuesday.Initially I did feel better, not 100% but better than I had been.I returned to work and felt ok.However.....On Thursday night,I started coughing again.Took some more garlic as a precaution(didn't know what else to try??)and woke up early hours Friday morning with difficulty breathing.I had to blow my nose several times to clear the mucous(Or is it Sinus?lol)and basically felt like a piece of crap since.
So now I am blowing my nose regularly and still coughing up green phlegm! So all up,Ive had this for probably 2.5 weeks. Is there anything else I can try?I don't really want to go back to the docs for more antibiotics. The doc did explain that he cant tell whether the phlegm is viral or bacterial,so now I'm guessing this is viral as although the antibiotics did work for a while,it didn't completely knock it out of my system.Any help/advice greatly appreciated.TIA

Here's a great remedy! Urban Moonshines Clear Chest! It's worth every penny.

I use it whenever I get an uncontrollable cough. It stops it immediately.

All natural herbal ingredients. You only need the smallest amount (less than they say).

it also helps you cough up phelgm, as it contains lobelia and other herbs for cough.

I have to order more now... :)

    It's great for smokers, too!

Viral is usually clear or cloudy discharge and doesn't progress. Funky colours usually indicate bacteria.

Sometimes you need a repeat of the antibiotic or you might not have been on the right one to begin with. If it helped for a bit and then it has got worse, it's probably bacterial. You should go back to your Dr.

Update:Saw the doc yesterday, and she prescribed another kind of antibiotics.I really don't like taking medicines, but after suffering for the last 2.5 weeks with this, nope just want it out of my system.Apparently I now have a sinus infection on top of the chest infection!Nice! Missed 4 days of work (Grrrrr double Grrr)so not happy at all right now.
