our cities are prisons in themselves.. seriously, lol.. every prison in the usa could be overthrown in 15minutes.. Ive worked in 10 of them in Pennsylvania only secure nature of the prison is the inmates have nowhere else to go.... your airports are prisons, and your just going from one prison to the next..
My favorite quote of any stand up comedian. No one could quite tell ya how bad we as Americans are getting screwed as well as George. There's still a smidgen of relevance there if you look for it. Props on the 2 day trip as well. Now in relevance to the OP. Pot SHOULD be able to be grown, sold, or smoked freely. The fact that the elder generations are more opposed to it says quite a bit about the true power of Government manufactured propaganda. Even these many years after the cold war is over, the elder peoples brains are still so sterilized of free thinking that you could ring them out and soapy, foamy, capitalized thought would fall to the floor. Truly incredible. This stuff would make Mr.Clean wet himself. Pot will be legalized. So will its growth. Like everyone else is saying, it's just a matter of time. So pretty much were waiting for the old folk to pass on so we can move past the humble idiotic embarrassment I and so many others feel towards the people who viewed the prohibition of Marijuana to be a good idea. Its a foolish premise, either literally or basically. It will never be removed from the streets completely, the best option is to tax it and sell it. Next step is allowing farmers to grow it and sell it. This will require more legislation obviously. I mean technically you would be cutting in on their action, and I've never known our government to like that much.
I'm talking about federally, even. And part of me thinks Proposition 19 might have been rigged. A lot of people had been talking about Prop. 19 a long time. I'm not saying since it's not going to be legal anyway, we shouldn't do anything about it. We should still strive to see it legal, be united for the cause and spread facts. Make people aware. There's still a point. I just don't see how with the current federal government, which is so adamant to pursue pot busts and ignore the many uses of cannabis, how it'll be legal anytime soon. But please don't take that to mean "well, there's no point, anyway", because that is definitely something I don't think. We should rise against such injustice.
I don't see how the tea party and repubs wouldn't want to tax it so they can lower they're own income taxes and lower the national debt. I don't see why anyone would not make it legal so the we could sell "the finest" to other nations and pay down the huge trade imbalance that this nation has. Sell best bud to China and the Saudis and balance the debt for Oil and All Manufactured goods. Ah. Duh. How tough is that.
Pot users make more money, for those who really run the country, being in prisons. Those owners don't want the national debt paid off. The interest made of the debt fills up their wallets, those select few at the top. The government makes it's money of people by charging them taxes partly in the name of paying off the national debt.
Prop 19 was very rigged. All the "stoners against prop19", saying it was not legal ENOUGH so it should stay illegal, or the prices would go up, or other such lies. A stepping stone is a start. A lot of it was on "blogs" that where obviously translated from spanish using google.... And dealers websites, because they lose big if it's legal. And it does NOTHING but help the med industry to legalize outside of med, but the medical people where largely tricked too by this crap.
`I get that. I'm talking about, how to influence the hearts and minds and votes of the Other 50% of the voting public. Of course, folks will grow there own and there would be any tax source. I talking about, make some some else pay "our taxes" Like pot smoker or somebody. Lower our taxes. Balance the budget. Pay off the national debt. Pay off the trade imbalance. Some propaganda to get the red states to vote to legalize pot. To get this over with. I'm sick of watching cops pick on "all the young dudes." For over 40 years I had to put up with this. Time to end it.
