Peter was my favorite Monkee. He looked like the stoner dude all the time. Mike Nes my 2nd favorite.. The Monkees didnt have to run off and do LSD like the Beatles to get famous. They may have suffered for that. But not all the music then needed direct ties to the drug culture, everyone knew The Monkees were stoners and far out. I still watch them on the classic networks.. Saturday mornings.

My sister was a huge fan... God knows why, because they were not her usual type of music.. but I remember she had every single record they made... Pete was her favourite.

Peter was my favorite too. He was the unsung hero. The only one they actually let play an instrument on their albums. I don't know how Mike Ness would feel about you mistaking him for being a monkee. Mike Ness is definitely my favorite in Social Distortion though.

I'm just teasing. I not really being a bitch. I know you meant Mike Nesmith, aka wooly hat. I grew up being a huge fan of the Monkees. I saw them live in 1987.
