Dined at an upmarket pizza place tonight Ordered a pizza that had pesto sauce Made it taste like grass, and I dont mean pot, I mean lawn It was a $25 pizza I payed $25 for one pizza that tasted like lawn Oooh, lets be overpriced and trendy and have it backfire cos out trendy pizzas taste like shit
when it comes to pizza I definitely prefer traditional. I like pesto but on pizza it sounds not so great.
I guess it's better you "payed" for the pizza as opposed to paid for it, because that would have been a total waste of $25.
Did you complain that their pizza tasted like shit, or did you mimic what a Brit would do and thank them effusively and tip the chef?
Hmmm, think that was actually autocorrect on my new phone Did get my overly pretentious gold samsung S6. It's been doing some weird things, just tried to replace overly with overlay
Why didn't you send back the nasty grass pizza and ask for something less crappy? I like white pizzas because if I'm gonna eat a bunch of carbs covered in cheese there better be no veggies in sight, not even in the form of a sauce.
Why do I get pesto? Why do I think I'll like it? I keep trying to like it, like I have to like it. Everybody likes pesto. You walk into a resteraunt that's all you hear, everybody ordering pesto. Pesto! Pesto! Pesto! Where was pesto 10 years ago?
I went to a pretentious pizzeria recently, ordered a slice of fig and arugula pizza. It was a religious experience, if one can get that from food. So, I guess hipster pizza eateries can be hit or miss.
I have had one with pesto, caramelized red onions, sundried tomatoes, feta and basil and it was really good. The thin crust really helped as it kept it rather light. Without the tomato sauce I think it is probably more difficult to get a good balance as there is no where to hide messing up.
I went to a fancy pizzeria last week and got a white pizza covered in tons of local wild mushrooms and truffle oil. Orgasm in my mouth for 17$. They are also an award winning brew pub and the beer was amazing! Beer was 3.50-6$ depending on the type. Sounds like you just went to the wrong pretentious pizzeria.
Suppose Id have to try the fig pizza first, but doesnt sound appealing Onion and mushroom are the only kind of vegies that should be on pizza, oh and black olives. Dont even like the sauce too tomato-y No friggin salad. Fruit, it would have to be a dessert pizza
Sounds like you need one of the pizzas I had, I forgot to mention it was covered in shallots too, which is really just a fancy word for tiny onions (ok technically a different thing but come on).
Lmao yes technically from a fruit but so far removed and no longer fruity that I think I can live with it
What's up with putting pasta on pizza? And when did that become a thing? No, I don't want lasagna on my pizza. Ziti on pizza, nope.
