Well, I'm not rich enough to buy ritzy beer. And I drink so much of it I'd be broke if I did. In my cheapass jew bastard bracket, if I want that percent punch, I gotta go Beast Ice. Hurghhhh.
that doesn't just go for steak though; i eat several servings of everything i eat. just a single sandwich (which nobody can eat just one of) has 2 servings of bread... and toolmaggot. malt liquor.
Any time I've drank 40's I've ended up in puddles of my own piss, naked in strange people's beds. Although, come to think of it, I should really drink moar 40's.
Which is fine, since you are supposed to eat more servings of bread in a day. But you are only supposed to eat 2 servings of meat a day. FAIL. I'm not talking about the bullshit serving sizes on food packages for calorie counting. Nobody eats that tiny an amount of anything...
Same. I blame my sister in law.. She tells people shwe is veg all the time, then proceeds to order chicken.
Exactly.IRL I feel no need to mention my dietary choices over and over. I only bring it up if I am ordering/offered food or something. Mojo- I wish I could enjoy fish and be prescetarian. I could get wild caught fresh healthy fish/seafood out here so easy... I just don't like it.
Here's a neat idea, all the self-righteous people can hang out with other self-righteous people and talk about how great they all are. They can go into restaurants and bitch about the food, expecting the menu to be changed just for them. A tiny amount of meat is not going to kill anyone or keep a factory farm in business. The rest of us can choose what we eat at home and be polite at someone else's home when they serve us food. And not eat at restaurants if they do not have a menu we like. It's pretty fucking simple. I hate pompous elite labels.
I dunno if labels of types of diets are exactly pompous. Just a form of description. Its people who get snotty, I suppose.
you know, I agreed with your post until that part. I think it is entirely fair for someone to say they don't like something - be it meat or green veggies- and ask for something off the menu that fits their diet(not saying they should expect specialty things for their diet that aren't on a menu at every restaurant, like a steak house- but if it already is) -- it is fair expect there not to be even a "tiny amount" of whatever other food they don't eat it. ..like if I order a baked potato that the menu says comes with sour cream and chive toppings on the side, yet it comes with bacon on top.. Yea, meat isn't going to kill me, but I think it tastes like ass and even a tiny unexpected amount can ruin my meal... and hell, some people have allergies so actually a "tiny amount" of something like fish/shellfish could kill them
i tried that whole veggie thing and it lasted 5 years, but then i got over it, or my taste bus changed after i got pregnant or something
to me, the only acceptable reason to not eat a certain food is a medical condition which makes it not possible to consume that food. otherwise, the thoughts that go on in my head when i hear all the other reasons just leads me to wanting to strap that person to a chair and force feed them for years on end
For one, that isn't exactly true. Some people do have allergy type reactions to meat products. Some people are veg simply because of the way it affects their body. Also, When you go a long time without certain foods in your diet, your body can have a negitive reaction trying to digest it. I still say it is completely fair for someone to order a product of the menu that fits their diet and expect it to not even have a tiny amount of some unexpected substance that is not part of their diet. ...but yeah, it is people that throw huge fits expecting their veg diet to be catered to that make it hard on all of us
