What perfume do you like? I wear Channel #5...it is sweet and delicate.... Tabu...a little stronger but has a spicy aroma that I never smelled before I have different raspberry and berry sprays that I use for under my arms.... I like eucalyptis
I am not fussy tho I tend to like the ones that are quite expensive and I can't justify spending that much often so now and then I will pick one and make it last. I like the smell of patch and so Bert's Bee's body mist is nice, it's mild but has a hint of Patch and it's made of essential oils so being the hippy chic I am that's kind of my daily scent. Love Bert's products. I don't like the kind that one shot leaves others gasping for air. Have had that happen to me when some women walk by, leaving their scent long after they leave. It almost smells stinky but most don't realize it till a friend tells them and even then they might not clue in, some smells are a pollution.
Oh man, I never understood Chanel # 5, no offense. I don't wear it most days. I'm actually not supposed to wear it to work because a lot of people seem to have allergies/sensitives or don't want to smell chemicals.
Yeah, I don't like anything too powerful either....so I use very little and after an hour or two...the little is very faint.....and you have to be close to me to smell it. I gasp for air, too, when some women go by and it is so powerful and cheap smelling sometimes.....Ever been in an elevator or closed space with someone wearing too much perfume? lol
It is not just women. Some guys I used to work with must have bathed in whatever they were wearing because they could just walk through the office and it would gag me. I am one of those sensitive to scents. At least those kind of scents. There are some scents that don't bother me but they need to be subtle. I don't wear perfume.
Sometimes things I use to buy on ebay....omg.....people wanted to hide cigarette odor or something, but they would spray the crap out of what I received....and I would have to wash or air out or something for days sometimes....I never complained....though.
I love, love perfume. I think I've been using it regularly since I was 13 or 14 I remember which was my first, which one was a gift, which one I wore when I started University, which one reminds me of certain someone, which one reminds me of a holiday in Spain and France....it really takes you places within a second. However, I do have a few favorites (Givenchy Amarige being the ultimate perfume for me, even though it's meant for women older than me)
Where I used to work a woman would spray her lab coat and when we left to go out we hung them up on a hook to be there when we came back so they weren't all over the backs of chairs and on the floors. Peeps would smell her's hanging there and toss it in the laundry bin it smelt soooo bad. It was pretty from a distance but when we did any close work she was ALL you could smell, then your lunch even began to smell like her even tho we went to a restaurant away from the building. It gets in your nose and takes over in a bad way.
Me too when they are strong, seems some people put it on to hide their bad smells when it's that thick. Natural can be a good thing for some people and in some places. I like a man who his own scent is nice but if he wears a bit it's ok. BF wears a bit when we go out but he smells great anyway. Some guys can just pull it off without anything.
I am one of these people and thankfully we have the same policy at work. I used to wear perfume but at some point it just started making my eyes and sinus cavities burn. I wear lotions made with all natural ingredients instead of perfume these days.
I used to have this stuff, can't remember the name of the perfume, by Estee lauder if I remember right, it looked like a wax in a really nice but tiny gold colored container, you put a tiny bit on and you could smell it all day and even into the night but it wasn't strong. Most people said it smelled nice but they had to be close because it didn't woft out at people. It lasted me years because you didn't have to use much. My friend introduced me to it when I commented on what she had on. There was also a Chinese one she wore that I loved.
I wear mostly essential oils because it seems like most perfumes except the really expensive ones have musk in them (because musk is fairly cheap), and I must have an allergy to musk.. I can't be around it at all. One cologne that I love is Coty's Muguet des Bois... There use to be another one that I loved called Blue Carnation, now I just use clove EO.
I love the smell of woman. Smell is easily my most powerful/emotive sense. You plant your nose and lips onto the side of a woman's neck/shoulder where the muscle becomes that soft tissue in the small of the collar bone... JeZUZ! The smell of the hair combined with the softness of the nape... God I love it. Wear purfume. But know that the magic and splendor of a woman's neck and shoulder's needs no purfume to make it any more appealing.
