You said some nasty things here too, but you don't seriously hate on those people right? It's an internet forum, don't let it get to you when someone on here called you bitch or called your hubby ugly if they don't even know him . It's rarely ment as personal as we sometimes feel like taking it at first instance. By the way, not everyone has a good sense humor.

 

No, I don't really hate anyone, but I def don't respect them.
I don't take it personally, but I am also not going to sit here and let people insult me over and over without saying anything. If there's enough bait in the water, it's just a mater of time before you bite.

I don't know about that. Some persons are more eager to bite. Mostly the persons who get defensive real fast or feel easily personally attacked. Just saying, I know some people like to express their opinion needlessly rude but that's just how it is. Doesn't mean there is a personal attack involved

You speak truth and wisdom. Miguel Ruiz has a book out called The Four Agreements. The first one is that you should take nothing personally. All anyone ever does is speak from their own experiences and biases. Lashing out is not always personal against the other person as much as an indicator of where our buttons are. Where we need to be less sensitive about. I believe this wholeheartedly, not just belief but knowing. Its just a matter of a bunch of people living on the Earth each with their own perspectives. We bump into one another. But we don't have to think everyone is out to get us because something rubs us the wrong way:cheers2:

That is a really good point and is always what my husband says. He also says people who don't have a lot of joy in their life aren't going to be able to find joy in someone else's life, especially when someone else's life is going well.
I think I am going to take this advice now. i guess I just had to learn for myself and I did.
I am glad I learned it on the internet instead of having to deal with people cutting me down or not liking me in real life

 

My old friends have no hobbies.............I find it strange.
