If that makes you feel better, you can think it. It is of course not at all to do with the mom I've been complaining about for weeks every time I come home from a session with her, nor is it about a huge pile of bitter people I have encountered recently with no hobbies. You are right, it is ALL about you.
boredom. and a few people missed the fun, some talked about hobbies, some talked about hobbits. it's very flexible.
Good deal. I only make stuff or change my fabric for customs when i am asked. Funny thing is though technically I don't do 'customs', so I always make things as a gift or trade on Etsy with something from the requester's shop. When people ask me outright and are polite, I am pretty damn gernerous. Speaking of which, I gotta go get some more gifts made. I have a friend on here and a friend in real life that are ready to pop and I don't have their stuff done ):
You're right. I should be doing other things instead of fighting with people I don't even like on the internet.
Technically there are no people with no hobbies, some just don't make such a big deal out of it. After all, it's about experiencing that pastime and not about defining how cool it is.
You don't know the whole story. I am far from mean. I am definitly bitchy and snobby at times, but rarely mean.
That's a very good point. Sometimes I am so proud of things I make I have a tendency to post them everywhere ont he internet. While my family and friends love it and think it's funny and cute, I can see how people I don't know think I am bragging. Sometimes when you put a lot of time into something or am succesful at something you never thought you'd be good at, you want to share it with others.
With that said, Chris if you read this thread can you close it? I didn't have any sales yesterday, nor did I sew and I think it's from the negativity I am projecting from this thread. I would really appreciate it .
Well, isn't that only human? And although I think there may be some truth in SOME people being bitter indeed because they don't relieve from their perhaps subconscious stress and stuff, not everyone is creative or feels like spending their time in any productive way. That's not necessarily making them bitter or even hobby-less of course. :cheers2:
