oh my mother read my diary back when i kept one too. Now I have so much shit overflowing my mind, because I am scared to write it down. She is too invasive and if I threaten to call the cops she would be like "ok you can do that, but I will tell them you are 19 years old , living in my house and I don't want you here anymore" *sigh*

I can live with the comfort of knowing my parents aren't going to mess with my mail. Thank god, too...I would've been in real trouble when I got that vibrator in the mail...haha...

 

I came home this morning to get my mail...all of it is opened and my mom tells me I still haven't compounded my student loans and the notice says time is running out...she had no idea it was an ad...I'm 25

I don't think that's true, malicious intent is not necessary, as it is a privacy issue. Federal privacy laws prohibits the opening of another person's mail. Title 18-Part 1-Chapter 83-1703 states in part that "Whoever, without the authority opens or destroys any mail or newspaper package not directed to him shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year or both."
