People eating random herbs for science

Does any of you guys know if there is any organizations that pay people to go out into the wilderness and just collect, test, ingest random herbs? Lol I'm not trying to participate in it I'm just interested in the subject of modern day herbal studies.. like the unknown.. people just out in the woods trying to find new herbs.

 

Dr. Weil did that, and has books out about the subject......
Many of the things he talks about are healers for things....

Hi alien steve. If I knew of anyone paying to do that, I would sign up immediately! That's what I do in my spare time anyway. However, in most places, the local indigenous population already know all of the healing herbs, edible plants, and fibre plants so I've just been re-discovering them It's still fun though.

 

Don't they force mice to eat them first these days?
