We did the same, i spent a lot of time naked around both boys and girls, the boys would just stop where they are next to a tree, grab it and pee, shake it off and keep running around. Erections and peeing looked very awkward.

I don't know how you can avoid it as a little kid when out playing and pissing with another kid or kids.
