It's alarmist true crime infotainment. It does nothing to educate viewers. It just attacks peoples most basic human fears of the protection of the children in an entertaining 'gotcha' format.

That is totally true but for me it has some value, i find before the actual arrest some of the peds sound quite honest, as some one interested in psychology this provides me with some insight.
Cheaters is complete bullshit... the guy hosting the show comes of so damned self rightous at least on to catch a pred. the basic idea has some merit... those 'cheater' assholes should mind their own business or become P.I.'s because that info shouldn't be public knowledge.
1 main reason, and its what i've read from people who live around the staged houses have said, is that they are luring potential sexual predators out and about into neighborhoods. journalism ethical standards being violated going after the fears of people afraid of sexual predators, when in fact the majority of these situations arise from people in the same house and whta lode said
Actually sadly enough i have read that none of the peds "caught" have actually had any charges held against them....
