Hitler has no moustache in the last one lol. So he doesn't look like Hitler. Swastika is changed into a fictional symbol. I think there's some other censorship too. Although it comes from good intent it's all rather pathetic imo. Glad Germany is an exception where it comes to this kind of shit

Although... banning a 3 decade old band for having 'confederate' in the name is nearing Germany in stupid and futile efforts naturally

You don't get, they banned the original Doom even for twenty years. Nazi Germany was not a fucking picnic! And the disaster that led up it is something the German people are still attempting to comprehend. They might as well have all committed incest! How many people have to die before you realize they are not sharing their words and playing nice, and need to learn how to live like human beings?

Just a weed that grows wild on the farm...

  8. Hah, no! But a rather good catch anyway.

The General is a train from the civil war that was stolen by Yankee spies from the town of Kennesaw (Big Shanty). The only train on the rails that could catch it was facing the wrong way, so they chased it in reverse. The spies cut telegraph wires along the way (a high speed chase on steam, takes awhile), which meant nobody could signal ahead and stop the train before it crossed into Tennessee.

Anyway, the chase ended, I forget if the General broke down or they just ran out of fuel or water. But the spies were caught and hung. The town of Kennesaw reacted to the humiliation of having a train stolen from under their noses by requiring everyone to wear a sidearm. It's still a city ordinance there. And they have a museum there with the train itself restored and on the tracks.

They were all insane back then, but didn't have a lot of mental hospitals. The idiots could have probably destroyed the engine easy enough, and walked away.

Its a symbol of defiance against the federal government. The south was defiant right up to the end, and Sherman burned everything to the ground. A lot of people say, we should sterilize Nazis, but Virginia's KKK sterilized twenty thousand teens for being poor white trash. That's how you improve the race.

I'm attracted to stories like that. Fight until the end! That's just apart of my blood, skin and bones.

Southerners love all that romantic crap about war, which is why the Yankees insisted on sending the carpetbaggers, to keep them company.

  15. lord blessed be the southland

there is nothing inherently racist about the flag of the confederacy

i do believe that power not delegated to the U.S. nor prohibited by it to the states is reserved by the states and by the people

GOD DAMN well I declare have you seen the light?
their walls were built of cannonballs

The south was only tempted to secede from the union, because technology made slavery cheaper than machines, but were too stupid to realize the technology was doing all the driving all along.

Including the right to claim they can violate the constitution, and trample it into the dirt, while insisting they have states rights. Where the fuck does it say in the constitution states have the right to sterilize children, just before they come of voting age! Even the Kingfish was never that insane.
