I still really dont see what the big deal is. Archie Bunker slandered every race imaginable yet they still show re-runs. That is b/c it was only words. Words mean nothing, actions are what people should worry about. I dont think Mrs. Deen went out and beat people or burned crosses in their yards. Just amazed at what a gignatic ordeal this turned out to be. I told my parents I hated them when I was a kid, did I really hate them? No. Again, just words.

Yeah, I don't buy that white privilege argument. To me, that argument reeks of PC feel good bullshit that doesn't reflect reality. There is a definite double standard in American society when it comes to the use of racially charged words, and that hypocrisy kills any hope of understanding.

White privilege? OMG Those days are so long gone, wake up. I worked with two black people, and considered them friends, Me and one of them both suffered from asthma, we had the same job, and same insurance. I had to pay $ 59.50 for the same medicine he got for $5.95. We both lived in the same apartment complex, and his rent was $200.00 a month less then mine, all because of some government program he got, that I couldn't! The other black guy we both worked with, got a house threw the HUD program, because he had a wife and child. We as white people, are still being blamed for things our great great great grandparents did, WHAT A PRIVIEGE! And by the way, the two men I worked with, called each other ****** all the time!:afro:
