Patriotism

Short story....my brother used to work for me and was always on time, leading by example to the rest of the guys, etc. He started showing up late and after a few times I was like...listen man...I don't know what's up but you can't keep doing this and expecting me to let it slide. People are watching this and it's a double standard.

He told me his gf was waking him up in the middle of the night, screaming at him and just losing her mind on an almost nightly basis and he wasn't sleeping well. I even knew his neighbor who told me he could hear her yelling in the middle of the night all the time but never him yelling back. He even tried to leave in the middle of the night and just go for a walk. She followed him, yelling at the top of her lungs so he quickly went back home. He finally left that nutty bitch.

 

Damn he sounds like a really nice guy. I wouldn't put up with that shit at all. I hope he found someone who values and respects him.

What do you do for work? That's a big fault of mine, all my guys show up at 6:30-7 and I roll in at 9-9:30. I just like to wake up slowly but I make sure I make up for it in other ways, helping them learn and throwing them cash for helping me. They just know that's how it is.

 

I wouldn't put up with that shit either.

As for what I do...I'm an arborist and utility line clearance contractor to a power company. I have to deal with strong-willed guys who speak their minds. Double standards don't fly with these kind of guys and they are right to point it out. It's fair and I don't blame them for it. That's why I had to have that little chat with my brother.

 

My answer would have to be complex.I've got British citizenship so "my" country is Britain.

I cant remotely identify with a country thats just 44% indigneous ("white") British in the major cities. And only 55% indigneous European. Nor can I identify with a country that is essentially feudal in its organs of influence. And has an anthem as offensive and bizarre as "God save the German twat". And I can't accept how deferential British people are to all this bullshit.

I don't think I'm ever treated as completely British anyway (due to my surname and to some extent, appearance). I'm only really half British by blood (half Slav). And I feel a big affinity with my non British ancestral homelands (Russia) too But I have no interest or affinity with the bullshit that is the EU. And I find many nationalities a complete pain up the arse.

So to sum up, I'd like to solve the problems of undesirables (too many 3rd world immigrants and the so called "upper class") in Britain. I like many aspects, dislike many aspects too. Will probably spend lots of time abroad, and a little time here over the next x years.
