I've never had a past life reading I've determined that human beings have the capacity to fuck things up for other people
I've made two basic assertions on this thread 1. It would be difficult, if not impossible, to prove that a past-life reading is in fact valid 2. A past life reading could, in principle, whether a valid reading or not, produce negative consequences for the person being read. You are welcome to debate either one of these assertions, or both. You are not welcome to imply that I have made statements that I have not, or that I am arguing positions which I am not. For example, at no time did I claim I have proven that a particular past life reading produced any particular result. Nor am I arguing that past life readings always fuck things up for people. Ok, assertions one and two above are the ones I'm making. If you argue against anything other than points one, two, or both, then your argument is not with me.
Yes, you've said that a past-life reading COULD produce negative consequences for the recipient of said reading. Yet you are unable, or unwilling, to provide any evidence to that effect. And I didn't imply that you made a statement that you did not make. I ASKED you if past-life readings fuck things up for other people. You didn't answer that.
I'm going to quote statement 2. from above Do you know what "in principle" means? If not, here's the definition: In other words, giving particular evidence that a thing is so is contrary to arguing a point in principle.
So, you have no evidence that would point to the legitimacy of the principle that you, yourself, brought into the conversation. In other words, your assertion that negative consequences COULD result from a past-life reading is simply an opinion of yours that is based on nothing at all; a theory that you propose though you can't point to anything to substantiate it. Gotcha . . .
Storch, I became a bit rude in this thread, which was immature of me. I apologize. What I realize now is that this not worthwhile to me to argue any further. I return the thread to its previous owners. Nameste
