no, french-dude, God accepts anyone into his kingdom who realises that they are wrong and apologises to God for screwing up, man, people can become christians and be saved without even reading the bible. of course it is totally the handbook for life, afterwards (if you hadnt read it) but all it takes to be saved is to turn round to God and say, "ok big-G, forgive me, please?" thats why it rocks so much
CHeers to you Jaz, you are the type of Christian I like.,,,the other type being older black women, their religion rocks for the most part.
I'd rather burn in hell than ever say I'm a Christian. =P But I think I have a better chance of burning in Hades because modern religion is as much as a "myth" as ancient Greek and Roman religions. Personally I found Passion of the Christ a capitalist scheme to cash in off of the Christian faith. If you want moving, watch the Matthew Sheppard Story.
that is jsut a STERIOTYPE! i dont wear ugly clothes or listen to crapo music,i think ure views are very narrow minded if u think all christians are the same, god loves variety
Well Jesus was also not Superman and he would of passed out in shock because of the pain. He would of not of been able to get up and be able to carry his cross like he did. Christians make me sick because a whole lot of them agree with our President and think we are in Iraq for the right reasons. They are involved in murdering innocent people.
The movie was so violent it was laughable. But I'm not a Christian so it did not affect me the way it would to a Christian.
i think you'll find someone else carried his cross for him. the whole point of it was that Jesus was God as a man! thats means he felt like us, had emotions like us, everything. the only difference was he didn't sin. theres no basis for an argument in that statement: first of all, millions of people, christians or not, support the war in iraq and believe that america is doing the right thing. I'm not trying to say that i support it, i don't!! i was anti-war the entire way, and all the christians i know are the same. to proclaim a statement as sweeping as that is kinda surprising
i agree with ya dude! war happens because of the wrong desisions of man,no desision of god! i agree that religion does cause alot of conflict, that is why i am anti relogion, gods intention was for us to ahve a relationship and freedom from the constraintment of haveing to live up to the relious peoples expectations! jesus himslef disliekd the religious leaders of his time because they were white on the outside and put up a front, but inside they were rotten and would not help ppl in need. u cannot judge every christina by presidnt bush,to be honest i dont think he is a very good role model chrisitna, but that is bexcause his human, and lke all of us he makes mistakes,id liek to see wot u wud do in his shoes?!?! the desision does not lie on just one man,but both sides of the argument....iraq and america. im not trying to justify his actions, jsut that his actions have nothing to do with him being christina but trying to do the best for his country, which he feels is under threat
I never watched the movie, nor do I really want to. Its a snuff film that makes christians and catholics feel guilty, and break down in tears over what?? a film made by a hollywood actor who lives in a 50 million dollar mansion in beverly hills. I really dont want to see any propaganda like that at all, especially when the catholic church was pushing everyone to go see it, even though it was filled with graphic violence galore...... and this is the same church that urged people to sign petitions to send to local tv stations that aired NYPD blue and to have it removed because of a naked ass. I sence a little hypocrisy here.... and it shows that people are just sick. would rather see torture and violence over a little nudity. my mom and a few of my aunts travelled an hour just to see the film when it was released, and I know of priests just praising this movie like it was the best thing since sliced bread. ugh. I dont want to waste my time on a snuff film. especially when my brother dave (who can watch any violent film without getting squeamish) actually get turned off by the violent nature in this movie. he said it was too much to handle.
it doesnt matter where he lives man. dont be as closed minded about it all, its not a snuff film lord knows what that is, i think the aim reached its goal and though everyone shouldnt see it, everyone will never see the same one thing ever, but i think we should all be open to it if it comes along our path and happens to be on a tv somewheres. I have friends who arent Christian religious at all but that were effected by the possibility of the situation and the true suffering reality that a man would live through just for the betterment of all mankind. Thats a steep life path (real or not, heavenly or not, under the name of God, or not) and it should be commended- Jesus may have been the first true hippy, at least the first (fictionally documented or not) in literature. I havent seen the film, usually i dont see movies to often, but it is one that i have thought about, and i think it should be recognized not as violent garbage, but an accurate portrayal of (if not the crucifiction of Christ) but at least of that time period of persecution and what all. i am not a crook.
anyone seen that episode of south park where cartman starts a christian rock band to make millions of dollers because christian rock bands have an automatic fan base of christians? or does anyone know how much money mel gibson got for the merchandise for that movie? just something to think about
Mel Gibson probably made alot off it like he did his other movies, but he also probably gave alot to charity. Gibson diddn't make this movie for the hell of it, he is a devout Christian and 1 of the few conservatives in Hollywood. But anyways I thought the movie was great, what made me actually go see it was I got a friend who never gave 2 shits about religion, he saw it and was like "dude, that movie totaly changed my outlook on life forever"
heyyy maan imma christian and i have a funky style, dig the Doors and Beatles, and jack black kicks ass! but anyways haha people are people, so i'd listen to anyones opinon, no matter what. and i beileve them too because its what they beileve. i think peoples beilefs are important to them, and i respect them. i think alot of people think if u wanna be christian u gotta be PURFECT...God knows we can never be perfect, he just wants us to accept him, and he'll accept us. but anyways, i dont know how this movie thread turned into a big ol' thang..geez louis! but i also like what Jaz is sayin'....anyways seamonster..i dig ur sig..Kinks rule! see i dont have bad taste in music
im a devout christian and for the person who asked what a snuff film was its basically a roughsex porno where a person(usually the girl) is killed at the end. I am a christian wiht a little skewed view rather then ur basic stuff. i believe God put ganja on this earth to be smoked to be at peace with oneself and I believe evil should be punished with force. I thought the passion of the christ was a wonderful idea for a movie cuz most jesus movies jsut show him doin miracles and bein happy. people see that and just go oh jesus had the perfect life i could never be as good as that. with the passion ppl saw how jesus was not invincible and i think it made them relate better. i did not like the film for the msot part however. i HATE subtitles and i jsut think it was shoddy filming.
hey to the person who said i cant spell on y rep! im dislexic actually, and wen i have something to say id rather keep the flow father than spel check and forget what i was saying
