i'm also really confused by the thread approval comments. i feel like every time i don't come on hf for a day, i miss some sort of drama. but then there's almost never anything interesting when i'm around; i must be a calming influence or something. anyway, the price to park in my town is just the risk of having your window smashed by meth heads. as far as i know, the closest meters are in cleveland, and i think those are 25 cents for 10 or 15 minutes, unless they've gone up since last summer.
Free. But I used to live in a huge tourist area, and the parking was metered everywhere, and it drove me insane--maybe 25 cents for 15 minutes. Thankfully, residents had a parking sticker and did not need to fork over any cash to leave their car in town. But it was still a pain trying to find parking at night.
750/mo rent to park my donkey. 90cents (on a ten ride senior discount, and one free transfer on top of that) to ride the bus.
Its about that in Sydney $20 an hour, $80 to $100 a day Although thats aussie dollars so $15, $55-$75 US
Dallas, it's not as bad as Sydney. $10 a day uncovered, $25 a day uncovered. I pay $100 monthly to park at my apartment.
I had my first cornea transplant in Sydney and my mum gave a parking person what for one day when she parked in a car park and I ran into hospital and picked up my eye drops, must have been half an hour maybe and they try sting her $60. She ended up paying. And then would park illegally from there on out lol.
for 90 cents i can ride a bus for three hours, as if any two routes we have would take that long. gas should be 6 bux instead of four, to pay for the roads that people without cars shouldn't have to. cars belong in museums, or out in the woods anyway. if i had a bicycle i could ride that for free, if i didn't get run over by someone with a car. well not free, still burn my own internal bio fuel of course. if there's anything to complain about, its not being enough public transportation, often enough, on enough different routes, and almost none in and between smaller rural communities.
$1.25 per hour sounds about right in what I paid for parking in my last city. Now it’s free everywhere in a town or 35,000
