Can they fight global warming without this tax? Paris protesters damage Arc de Triomphe monument in worst riot in a decade; Macron vows action
This is misleading as the rebellion started over gas-tax increases many days ago and has since spread to include all the rage of the proletariat. But to answer your question, no. A tax has nothing to do with global warming. If anything, aiding the existence of industrial states significantly adds to it. That would be like saying increasing fracking to take away from coal production helps fight climate change. Or mining for rare-Earth minerals to make solar panels helps stop climate change.
^ That fuel tax and the riot response is related to anti-climate change efforts in France. That fuel tax was meant to move more people to electric cars. But the tax is too expensive for many it seems. https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...e79db33382f_story.html?utm_term=.55e7a7645f47
I figured something along those lines as its called a "climate tax". The names and addresses of those making the planet uninhabitable could be written on a single piece of paper. The poor and working class in no way should be forced to pay more to the state for any false solutions, especially when it's not even their fault. The industrial state is at the heart of climate change. So making it even more powerful is counter-productive. Electric cars are meaningless.
