how does this differ from a majority of the fans of the bands you mentioned. the only difference here are that those people are famous
I saw Snoop Dogg wearing a No Leaf Clover Metallica shirt in the paper once. That cracked me up. I was like what a fucking cock! Why dont you where your own shirts retard! LOL
no that's not the only difference.. these famous people sing terrible pop songs.. now, if you were in the music business, wouldn't you want to do music that is somewhat similar to the music you listen to? or wouldn't you be inspired by bands that you like? i know i would. these famous people sing songs that seem to have no relation to this musical tastes. how can you be a zeppelin (dead, doors, whatever) t-shirt wearin fan (which, in my opinion, means you must be a pretty big fan) and perform shitty ass music? i just don't understand.
Mmmyeah....gee, I just don't understand why Jim Morrison hasn't had a cult status within the past 33 years... hmm.... :H you certainly have a point there.
Vapid celebrities have always wrapped themselves up in R & R cliches, thinking they look cool. It's nothing new. Besides, it's not like the Dead and the VU are unknown to a lot of people. Now if they were wearing a Can shirt or something, then I might be offended.
Someone like Jessica Simpson does not actually like the Doors. She has been instructed to wear those clothes by fashion designers and such. That's why we don't like it.
True... but I'm sure that the Dead, and especially the VU, are actually unknown to Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton fans.
Groups like the Doors and Led Zeppelin are already so riddled with the cliches of rock and roll and Clear Channel corporatization, so I don't see what difference it makes. It's no different from the usual teenage morons who wear shirts featuring a bare-chested Morrison.
no, did i say ripping it off? don't think so.. i'm saying reflecting their musical taste. that's far from ripping off, thank you very much.
