I'm attending school to become a helicopter pilot and already have a decent job lined up . I plan on using this salary to buy land on big island Hawaii and starting a communal farm , mostly working out of WWOOF to get it started . I plan on building from the ground up and promoting it as a sanctuary for artistic souls . Any advice on where to begin ? Maybe even ways to raise funds to start it off ?

It has very practical advice on things like: legal agreements, decision making processes, zoning, membership, etc. etc. It is really 'the book' on creating an intentional community (imho)
I just bought it today. Haven't been able to read it much, but I am enthralled over the fact that Patch Adams did the preface.
